1. Arrange a recipient at the destination port.

2. Book your rolling cargo freighter (via Barkota, Onsite, Call).

It is recommended to book your cargo ahead of time to avoid delays or issues. The latest possible time is prior to the loading cut-off time (LCT), especially for freighter vessels. There are three main ways how to ship a car from Manila to Mindanao on a freighter vessel without a driver.

3. Prepare the necessary details.

When booking onsite or via call, the teller will ask you to supply the following information:

4. Settle payment.

Settle your rolling cargo fees upon instruction of the teller. If fees are settled online (for Barkota bookings), payment confirmation will be sent to your email address after your payment is processed. If you pay in cash, you will be issued an official receipt.

5. Visit the nearest Trans-Asia Office to claim the BL.

The Bill of Lading (BL) is issued once your booking is paid and confirmed. Visit the main offices in Manila or the nearest outlet to claim. The BL is good for 30 days upon issuance. You will also need this on the actual day you deliver your car to the pier. 

6. Drop off your vehicle at the port.

Unaccompanied cars must go through inspection and measurements at the Manila North Harbor. You will be asked to present the Bill of Lading first. Afterwards, you must process your rolling cargo documents, settle port charges at the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) counter. Once you have all your receipts and documents, take your car for weighing.

NOTE: For freighter vessels, laden cars and vehicles are not allowed.

8. Park at the designated holding area.

Rolling cargo for Manila to Mindanao freighters must be parked at the assigned holding area. Park your car and take your documents and keys to the official counter or booth situated at the nearby entrance. 

9. Submit the keys and document copies.

Present the copies of your documents for one last inspection, then turn over your keys once the process is complete. The drop-off is complete.
